Veterans now have the option to originate their CalVet loans through mortgage brokers
certified by CalVet, or they may continue to submit loans directly to our local offices.
Following is a list of mortgage brokers who have completed the Cal Vet training course
and have been certified to originate and submit loans to CalVet on behalf of veteran borrowers. The
listing is organized by the county in which each of their main offices is located, however, mortgage
brokers are often equipped to provide services to veterans in other counties as well.
The mortgage brokers are independent from CalVet, and may charge different fees, which
may be negotiable. Except for VA guaranteed loans, CalVet does not limit those fees. Veterans should
satisfy themselves that any additional broker fees charged are both reasonable and common to the industry.
CalVet cannot recommend any individual broker. However, please do not hesitate to
contact your local office if you desire more information on the CalVet mortgage broker program.
