Women Veterans

Welcome to the CalVet Women Veterans page!

California is home to 185,269 women veterans. With California's women leading the nation in military service, it is imperative to acknowledge and address the needs of this growing demographic.

The CalVet Women Veterans Division provides advocacy, information and support to all women veterans and their families in California. The division also coordinates with veteran service organizations, interest groups, legislators and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs to enhance the lives of women veterans and to keep them up-to-date on the changing laws that impact their lives.

Our mission is to connect women veterans with the services and benefits they have earned, which include health care, mental health, education, housing and employment.

The women who have bravely served our country are not only veterans, they are wives, mothers, daughters and sisters, and their continued health and prosperity is important to California.

Women have served in every major conflict and in peacetime, whether formally recognized as members of the Armed Forces or not, and for this, women service members are owed a great debt of gratitude.

Please take the time to navigate through our website for information about benefits, services and events. I hope that you find the content to be helpful and informative.
